Review of Intra Day Prediction of US stock market-dow industrial-Nasdaq for Tuesday Oct 11,2005

For Tuesday October 11,2005 we made the following summary prediction

"Today both indices DJIA and NASDAQ particularly Dow Industrial are likely to rise and perform well. However in late afternoon (below) there may be as strong dip especially in NASDAQ followed by recovery."

Review: How the day turned out

Cards indicated different outcomes for Dow Industrial and NASDAQ and hence we made this distinction in our prediction . DJIA performed well most of the day but closed much lower. NASDAQ however did not met our expectation in this regard. As predicted sharp dip following peaking of indices (local peaking in case of NASDAQ) came in the late afternoon and was relatively more concentrated on NASDAQ. Second strategy of going short would have given good profits.
