Review of Intra day Prediction of Dow Industrial for Friday November 11,2005

For Friday November 11,2005, we made the following Intra day prediction for Dow Industrial

"Today 's prediction specifically applies to DJIA and strongly DJIA correlated stocks. We are less certain if normally strong correlation with NASDAQ will hold today.

Following a possibly volatile opening of DJIA in the morning, the DJIA is likely to recover/rise smartly by late morning to shortly after mid day .

However in late afternoon ( say last 90 minutes of day's trade) there may be a strong dip followed by recovery

Review: A profit making day trading prediction?

Note: This prediction was given when contrarian developments were taking place or emerging.

1. Two aspects of the prediction went right. (a) the low correlation between intra day movement of NASDAQ and DJIA which are normally strongly correlated. (b) Smart rise and recovery of DJIA( the second lower chart) by mid day by which time most of day's gains had been clocked. Last part of our prediction , on which our high risk second strategy was based did not turn out right for DJIA.
